Terrorism RiChelle Redman 10 June 2003 I am astounded that any American citizen would deny that Islam intends the destruction both of my country and the state of Israel. Muslim clerics are calling for exactly that in mosques around the globe. I have read bin Laden's Declaration of War, dated August 23, 1996. How could any thinking person not believe that this a literal fight for survival? America should be as serious about it's survival, standing proudly and determinedly along with Israel, as Islam is about our common destruction. It is unconscionable to call upon the Israeli people to accept as a fact of daily life what we in America were unwilling to tolerate for the span of 2 hours on one day in September. Terrorists are murders, not freedom fighters or saviors of the weak and downtrodden. The choice we have is to fight or acquiesce in our own destruction. 6 million Jews died in concentration death camps refusing to believe that extermination was the ultimate goal. I can hear the call to battle. Israel is being told to confiscate David's slingshot and his stone in the hope that Goliath will be soothed. He will only smell blood and look for the kill.
