polls averages for the 21-26 of December show Likud leading 31 seats, right wing block 65 seats
Strong showing for the Likud in most polls this week; polls averages for the 21-26 of December show Likud leading 31 seats, right wing block 65 seats
December 26, 2008
After last weeks polls showed a narrowing of the gap between Kadima and the Likud, most of this week’s polls show the Likud renewing it’s upwards trend while Kadima weakens. Commentators have noted that due to the recent developments in the Gaza strip there could be big variations between polls taken early this week and polls taken yesterday due to significant public disapproval of the current situation.
The polls averages from www.bhirot2009.co.il show the Likud growing to 31 seats while Kadima weakens to 26 seats. The right wing block enjoys a substantial lead of 65 seats to the left wing 55 seats. The poll done by Kol Yisrael radio station showed the Likud at 32 seats while Kadima drops to as low as 23 seats (67 seats for right wing block Vs. 53 seats for the left wing). One poll contradicted all the other polls, the poll published by Maariv newspaper today showed Kadima leading with 30 seats and the Likud with 29 seats while the Left wing has a 62 seat majority to the 58 seats of the right wing.
