I sincerely
hope
that Israelis will elect a new and different Government
Lewis Brinin 15 Nov 2002
Dear Sir
I read with horror a statement from soon to be former Prime Minister
Sharon expressing his belief that a Palestinian state is inevitable. Do
you believe this too?
Such statements lead me to believe that it is Mr. Sharon himself who
has
violated the trust put in him by the Israeli people and betrayed the
mandate under which he was elected. It is now clear that his attempt to
blame his Liberal Labor coalition partners for his failure to protect
Israelis from horrible vicious and primitive violence from arabs is all
a ruse and the "joke" is on the families of the victims of arab rage
and
arab intolerance and the insatiable arab appetite for jewish blood.
IF
Mr. Sharon does not believe the safety and security of the Israeli
people is not worth more than political expediency than I sincerely
hope
that Israelis will elect a new and different Government that will value
Israeli lives over political ambitions.
I am enclosing an informal poll published today in the Jerusalem Post
online edition. Needless to say, I voted for you.
Good luck in the coming election sir.
