Hamas could not care less about their welfare or future of the Palestinians. Uri Luria 17 July 2006 Dear Mr. Netanyahu: A unique, perhaps momentous, opportunity is obscured by the natural Israel-centric view of current events. Iran uses anti-Israeli and anti-Amercan activities to destablize and then control oil rich Arab countries Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Toward that end Hezbollah is using Lebanon as a sacrifical lamb. Nasrallah says as much: “Hezbollah is not fighting a battle for Hezbollah or even for Lebanon — we are now fighting a battle for the (Islamic) nation.” It is crucial to recognize that Hamas is doing exactly the same with the Plaestinians: They use the conflict to destabilize Egypt and Jordan. Toward that end the use the Palestinians as a sacrificial lamb. What has been happening in Lebanon ought to be sufficient to make Palestinians finally recognize Hamas could not care less about their welfare or future.
